HOLIDAY SKETCHES

I've just returned from an amazing two week holiday in glorious Croatia. We spent the first week on the Island of Korcula which incuded a day trip to Mljet which is said to be ranked among the top 10 most beautiful islands in the world. The second week was spent in the cultural capital, Dubrovnik.
If you've not been, you're missing out big time. It's simply beautiful.
Anyway, I decided to take my sketchbook with me and churned out a few pages of observational sketches from the beach, hotel lobbies, cafes, bars, you name it. The most difficult part was trying not to get caught in mid-sketch!

Here are a few snaps from a wedding I did a few weeks ago for Niall O'Loughlin at the plush surroundings of the Leopardstown racecourse. Probably one of the biggest weddings I've ever seen.

Here are some sketches done over the past few weeks.  The top is me and Sam Gorrie, a Canadian artist working in Las Vegas who came to visit last month.

Pretty decent sketch.  Sam was watchin me do this one.  I dont think they liked it though.

MY NIECE (again)

I thought I'd be a good uncle and give this one another go with a slightly different style from my more 'cartooned version' from last Christmas. I'll be painting this one digitally (when I get the time of course!)
